Park on rampart and really you should walk the french quarter
Yes
Yes
Cheap but good. Service is awesome
Don't work there but I would imagine that Cafe Du Monde would be open since it's in the French Quarter in the French Quarter basically never closes
Yes you can go inside and it does have airconditioner. And they have outside area.
I was here last night...so disappointed in this PARTICULAR location. Service was horrible from beginning to end! I was so excited to try the beignets because cafe du Monde came highly recommended. The beignets were almost cold and getting hard. You can tell it’s been sitting out and reheated. They slapped on the powdered sugar and didn’t even try to sprinkle it and make it look presentable. I wasn’t even finished eating and the workers were already taking my tray... probably cuz it looked like garbage! There were workers just standing around with towels and just wiping down whatever .... and the cashiers were just standing behind the counter just waiting to throw some attitude on the next customer . Did not feel the Southern Hospitality at All! Management I hope you’re reading this!
Fast & efficient. Great coffee!
This is a traditional place in New Orleans.Always delicious beignets and “cafe au lait”!
Its quieter than the more famous cafe, but it serves exactly the same beignets.Service is nice and easy, staff were lovely.
I was approached by an employee who was very welcoming and polite, answered all my questions and let me know I could walk around the back to the window and see how they make the bengiets. Loved it.
The cafe au lait was great, but the hot chocolate was even better! Of course the beignets were fantastic! Do remember, cash only.
Reduced the walk to main location of Cafe Du Monde and come here instead from the nearby hotel. Same quality.
Great place to get beignets and cafe au lait. And then walk on the Riverwalk. Would definitely recommend it, and will come here again the next time we are in New Orleans.
Place is dirty especially in the back where they make the beignets. Beignet's tasted like burnt oil. Doesn't hurt to change the oil in your fryer's once in a while. Staff was unwelcoming.
Soooooo yummy! The Riverwalk location worked perfectly for us. Simple menu with souvenir cup options.
Great cafe du monde. can’t go wrong with the beignets and coffee.
Yes, it’s inside a mall strip but it’s definitely worth going to. It’s cheap and delicious AND it’s not packed filled like the original location. There scenery of the water and boats going by is also nice.
Yah or nay??? Can't say. It was inside the Louis Armstrong Airport in New Orleans Louisiana. I was awaiting a flight. That's all. Didn't want to eat there. I did look over the menu which was posted outside the restaurant. So one doesn't have to go inside the restaurant to view the menu. That was a nice touch.
Wow. Cold and crunchy. What a disappointment. Coffee was fine but, you know, it's coffee. I guess it's just tourists at the Riverwalk.
There isn't much special about this kind of food wherever you get it. Don't get me wrong, it was good. But most people go to Cafe Du Monde for the atmosphere. This place doesn't have that. If you're all about the beignets, then go ahead, they're good. But if you want atmosphere, go to the original.
This is a great pro tip if you don't want to wait in the long lines at the main location.
I love the coffee...but do not be in a hurry if you visit. Relax and enjoy being in the area.
Got some café au lair and beignets along with some Evan’s original creole praline. Beignets are good. Tastes like a carnival elephant ear or funnel cake you used to get at the fairgrounds or traveling amusement parks. Good stuff. Highly recommend it!
Great alternative to the original location. Friendly staff, line moves rather quickly, you can wait indoors, plus there is a nice patio view of the water (when weather permits). I also enjoyed watching them make beignets while in line. Again great option if you want beignets but don't want to stand in line outside and not too far from the original location. Thanks for a great experience!🤸🏾♀️🙌🏾
Awesome beignets (doughnuts) n coffee. Highly recommended in new Orleans. If u r even for few hours in new Orleans you can't miss it.
The beignets were good but not what I’m used to. But I was really disappointed in the stay on Thursday afternoon. They seemed like teenagers but they all just were looking like I disturbed them or something as it wasn’t too busy when I arrived. The girl at the register was the worst. She snatched the tray away when I said I didn’t need it and didn’t thank me for my service or anything. Like the girl seemed to be TRYING go make me uncomfortable it was the worst customer service I’ve had in the city. I strongly recommended the larger location
Great coffee and beignets, just not as much fun as its French Quarter original, especially being in close proximity to the worst managed Hilton property, Riverside.
Loving those beignets 😁... Eating them every day while on vacations 😋
The beignets are good. I didn't think they were extra flavorful or different than other places that i have tried. The prices were great ans the location was really nice.
As for me overrated. Beignets was okay, coffee -not so good. Didn’t get why to wait there for 30-50 min, not worth that
Waiting in line on busy day, not served at tables. The beignet's are great. The people friendly! Long hair should be in hairnets. Was a busy day with an event in Town service was great!
We tried the original store twice and it tasted great. Therefore, when we saw the store at the outlet, we were happy and decided to try another one before we head back. Yet, this time is definitely a waste of money. The beignets seem undercooked and were tasted terribly. Never tried this store.
The donuts are mad good, but the economics of the table service seem a bit dodgy. When you sit down to order, the person who waits on you first pays for the food, and then you pay them back for the food and give a tip. Is this a way for a business to dodge tax rules? Are the employees being treated fairly?
Busy with not enough help. They need someone to clear tables. Still flavorful though.
Cafe Du Monde...great beignets, great coffee.Bad...this place is not what you would expect. Very dirty, open air tent. Every man ,woman and child for themselves trying to get to the window to order. They were worth the wait!
Been here in NOLA many times, but this was the first time we had some Official Beignets with Cafe au Lat. Both were great! It is a Seat Yourself and a Waitress comes to you for your order. We had to wait about 3 minutes for service! Another check mark on my Bucket List.
A must for anyone visiting NOLA. Their beignets are famous. Just be careful with dark clothes, you WILL be covered in a mountain of white sugar.
Iconic NOLA institution. A delicious must-do when in town. But bring cash--it's all they accept.
The beignet was actually disappointing. The dough was over worked, tough and dry. There were even pockets of flour or baking soda inside my beignet. Hopefully this was just a one off? Fun atmosphere and great coffee tho!
Oh god Something I never eat in my life .Beignets was excellent, special, I love it 😋😋😋😱😱😱 all the Sugar It was only the powder but he was not too much. I was scared but was👍👍👍
It was a hot day when I went. I wanted frozen coffee, but there was none. Settled for an iced coffee which wasn't good. The beignets, however, were great.
We went when they first opened in the morning. Line was decent, much more reasonable than the line at the original location. Tables are cleaner and easier to find. Beignets and cafe au lait are as good as the original location. Would recommend this location to non first timers.
always a pleasant visit, just steer clear of the back alley at night or you might get offered crack
I absolutely love this place. Every time I'm in New Orleans I go at least twice.
Saw an employee in the kitchen washing mud off shoes in the kitchen sink through little tray collection window. At 6pm, they didn’t have decaf coffee and didn’t seem to want to make anymore... overall the cafe was at a sad state
First stop trying beignet in New Orleans. They are really good and the awesome part is the short line! Maybe it’s close to dinner time and everyone’s out for cajun food. We love this place compared to a 40 minute wait time out in the rain at the Cafe du Monde store in Jackson Square area. If you don’t want to wait for more than half an hour in the cold for beignets and cafe du lait, try this location!
We was blown away with the Beignets here. They are super yummy!!!! But so high in calories. Maybe only eat them once in a while haha. Love them thou❤️
Suppose to open at 8, doesnt open until 810. When its opens, No beignet are cooked. Not even started. No dough, no sugar. Nothing. Please open and be prepared for business.
Good Benes but not quite as good as the original. They were more doughy. The original are a little more crunchy.
Best hot chocolate ive ever had... Everything was great
We received service immediately even as busy as the place was. They only accept cash. Prices reasonable.
The line inside is ONLY for those eating there. If getting a To-Go order, that is around the backside. This information is not posted well. Also, the To-Go line is cash only and you find this out when you are next in line... After a 30 min wait in line. Beignets taste the same as the Cafe Beignets down the street where the atmosphere is much more chill.
Staff was rude and got my order wrong and they were out of hot chocolate. Café beignet was better. Don't get the hype of this place.
Sorry I could share with vegan friend. Challenge: make a vegan beignet. Then we for sure will be back.
